The member representing Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Kingsley Uju’s contributions to the socio-economic and human capital development, unity, peace and mutual co-existence in the various communities that make up his constituency have been commended by many individuals and groups including the Niger Delta Students Union Government (NIDSUG) who recently honoured him with “Outstanding Leadership Award”.
While presenting the award to Engr Uju, former Imo State Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, leader of the student group, Comrade N-epga Goodness said, the award was conferred on Hon (Engr) Kingsley Uju after extensive deliberation and in recognition of his passion and commitment to the infrastructural development in the Niger Delta and advocacy for peace, unity and mutual co-existence.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Hon Kingsley Uju said he was humbled and overwhelmed with joy by the gesture of the students who found him worthy of such honour.
He assured them that his zeal and passion for the development of the Niger Delta region and entire state will never be dampened, hence he will continue to do his best to ensure quality representation and justify the confidence reposed in him.
He urged the students to shun violence and all kinds of youth restiveness in their various institutions, and take their studies serious.
It would be recalled that Engr Uju, prior to his election to the Federal House of Representatives was a key player in the Rochas Okorocha government.
