v Says, elders should not dance naked in public
The Peoples Democratic Party in Owerri zone has frowned at the embarrassing and unguarded utterances of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu,noting that he has from the onset not supported the emergence of a governor of Owerri zone extraction since the advent of democracy in 1999 and therefore called for his resignation with immediate effect.
This was contained in a release signed by the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Owerri zone, Hon. Kizito Onuoha. The release stated that “it is obvious that Chief Iwuanyanwu, aside his embarrassing utterances, has never been in support of or worked for the Owerri Governorship Project from 1996 till date. We are therefore not surprised that he has condescended so low to the extent of dancing naked in public without shame”.
“It has also become very glaring that he can do anything possible to identify with any government in power in the state. It beats our imagination that Chief Iwuanyanwu has thrown caution to the wind in a bid to romance with a government that is yet to account for the mandate freely given to our party through the popular candidature of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON, by the good people of Imo State which was stolen”.
They called on Chief Iwuanyanwu who they said has lost credibility and can’t speak for the people of Owerri zone to resign his position as a member of the Board of Trustees and other positions he holds in the party as he has become an embarrassment and a burden to Owerri zone and Imo State.
