The former special adviser to ex-governor Emeka Ihedioha, Comrade AIC Akwarandu has taken a swipe at the embattled former governor of Imo state , now senator representing Imo West at the National Assembly, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, slamming him for planning to fly his son-inlaw, Dr Uzor Anwuka out of the country for treatment.
Okorocha had stormed a property, Royal Spring Hotel,Owerri sealed by the Imo state government when he and his entourage were attacked by thugs allegedly loyal to Imo government , leaving his son-inlaw badly wounded.
Akwarandu in his post,made on social media yesterday queried why the ex-governor who claimed he had built 27 hospitals in Imo and had made the state a health tourist state should contemplate on flying his son-inlaw oversea for mare surgery.
Akwarandu said,”Okorocha led Imo for 8 years. The Son in-law had a gunshot injury which according to them required a surgery. The former Governor noted that arrangements were on top gear to transfer him to a better hospital outside Imo State or Nigeria as the case maybe, where He can get “better treatment”.
During his time, He claimed to have built 27 General Hospital across the State.
Sadly, The Former Governor and the Incumbent Governor are of the same political ideology. The APC has done more harm than good to Ndi Imo. Despite having APC Administration at the Centre, there is nothing to show as “federal presence” in Imo State.
The APC must be seen as a plague for Imo to move forward. For 8 Years, Okorocha was answerable to Abuja, for the past one year, Governor Uzodinma has been answerable to Abuja”.
