The entire Nwangele LGA of Imo State was agog on Saturday 2nd January 2021, as the people trooped out enmasse to host Governor Hope Uzodinma who was the special guest of honour at the official commissioning of the Isu United country club and multipurpose hall that was stagnated for over 30 years before it was completed recently under the present leadership of United Isu Progressive Union headed by Chief Celestine Opurum and his Deputy, Chief Amara Anyiam.
The people in unison thanked and appreciated God for the successful completion of the project, which they said was motivated by the desire to have a befitting edifice that will be a symbol of unity and be used by the Isu clan as venue for meetings, recreational activities and relaxation. The club, also has restaurant that serves African and international dishes.
Some of those who spoke to Nigeria Watchdog, commended the Governor General of United Isu Progressive Union, Chief Celestine Opurum and his deputy, Chief Amara Anyiam “for their unquantifiable effort and commitment, without which the project would not have been completed”.
The event which was attended by Governor Uzodinma, and his entourage, comprising Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, represented by Chief Michael Onuoha, High Chief JohnBosco Ozigbo, (Ogwuaga of Ogwuaga) Chief Michael Onuoha (Akukwesiri 1, Eriri Ego Uwanile), Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem, Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, who was represented by the Commissioner for Lands, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr. Daniel Oguh, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, (Deputy Speaker), Imo State House of Assembly and member, Board of Trustees of United Isu Progressive Union, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozuruigbo, member, representing, Nwangele, Isu, Njaba in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Tony Uchenda (Inine Isu), Dr. Charles Oirie, chairman, ISOPADEC, Chief Dr. Batos Nwadike SA to Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, Chief Ukadike (TPM Dim na Nume) Amb. Emma Obasi, Chief Paul Duru, (Ochiri) Chief Lasbery Okenwa, Chief Evidence Azodeh, Chief Amara Anyiam, Hon. Jones Onyereri, Chief Cosmas Maduka (Odebube Isu) Chief Ukeje, Chief Ferdinand Akano, Chief Cosmas Iwu and the chairman of Nwangele Interim Management Committee, Hon. Emeka.

The governor, in his speech commended the sons and daughters of Isu na Eliligbaogu for their unity of purpose that culminated in the achievement of the great and noble feat.
