It is often said that some are born great, some achieve greatness, while some have greatness entrusted upon them.
Barr. Calistus Amandibuogu Nehemaih Osondu, a legal giant, is indeed, a special breed who from all indications attained greatness by dint of hardwork, dedication and commitment to excellence.
Like the shrub that grew to be an iroko tree, this rare gem who hails from Umukegwu, autonomous community Akokwa in Ideato North LGA of Imo State, had his primary education at Central School, Ezeala, Akokwa, and his secondary education at Akokwa High School, before proceeding to Pilgrims College of Ministry and Seminary, Aba (an affiliate of Full Gospel Bible Institute, Coatesville PA USA).
He later went to the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri where he obtained an LLB degree in Law and thereafter, the Nigeria Law School Abuja for his B.L. Barr. Osondu, who is happily married with three children, is a versatile, focused and result-oriented personality whose advocacy and principled stand on contemporary issues of state and national importance has distinguished and earned him the respect and admiration of a cross section of the populace who hold him in very high esteem.
No wonder, some of his professional colleagues who at various time spoke about his antecedents, described him as a voracious reader who places premium on research, integrity, diligence and strict adherence to ethics, having traversed the law profession like an unblemished colossus, and giving a good account of himself.
On this auspicious occasion of his birthday, I join his fans and admirers, at home and in the diaspora to wish him the best life can offer and pray that his light never dims as he continues to make positive impact on humanity.
