As a payback for his numerous philanthropists gestures to the development of Umuaka Ancient kingdom, “powered under the Perry Ekwunazu foundation”, Chief Dr. Perry Uchenna Ekwunazu has been conferred with the most prestigious chieftaincy title of Odogwu I of Aka land by the fore most royal father of Umuaka Ancient kingdom, HRH Eze Ojinnaka.
It could be recalled that through Perry Ekwunazu Foundation, Umuaka Ancient kingdom has been generously elevated through its life supporting and changing progammes including donation of yearly football trophy for youths empowerment and talents hunts, as well as, women empowerment through a non interest revolving loans and most importantly free medical care which is also expected to hold as usual on the 7th January 2018.
The Njaba council born American based clinical pharmacist and a pathologist, Chief Dr. Ekwunazu who was full of compassion said that he never knew that his people are taking a good record of his genuine contributions to their community and thanked Eze Ojinnaka and his cabinet for founding him worthy for the chieftancy title which was conferred on him, last December 29, 2017.
On his ambition to represent the Njaba state constituency come 2019, Chief Dr Perry Ekwunnazu said he would use such an opportunity to expand his tentacles to ensure that he expunge all the rural challenges bedeviling Njaba people.
According to him, the quest for sound and solid representation which has eluded Njaba council in the past has really spurred the youths to beckon on him to contest. And as such, he maintained that he will not hesitate to answer such a clarion call to salvage the people of Njaba from under representations.
He also commendation governor Okorocha for the massive infrastructural development which was orchestrated by the urban renewal exercise but envisaged that Njaba has not benefited due to poor and an ineffective representation and promised to compliment and consolidate on all the state government plans to develop Njaba council.
