It was a carnival of a sort on Wednesday September 2,2020 Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu a frontline Senatorial aspirant in the Imo North Senatorial by-Election, stormed Okigwe federal constituency, where he met with the leaders, stakeholders, delegates and supporters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the three LGA that made up the Constituency; Ehime Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo local government Areas.
There was an eruption of joy as the Avutu Obowo born Philanthropist stormed the People’s Democratic party Secretariat in the three local government Areas and was greeted by a jubilant crowd of people from the host local government Areas.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the respective LGAs, Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu expressed joy at the incredible reception given to him, which he described as the best.
He averred that the love showered on him by men, women and youths of Okigwe South Federal Constituency was evident of their unalloyed support for his Senatorial aspiration in the Zone.
Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu who is popularly called SURPRISER due to his kind gestures to his people said he will do everything to deliver the zone from the oppressive and anti-people clutches of the present APC administration if he becomes the PDP Senatorial flag bearer, pledged not to disappoint Imo people in general and Okigwe zone particularly.
He insisted that the zone has suffered a lot, he then promised that his emergence as the PDP flag bearer in the Saturday 5th September 2020 forthcoming primary Election will put a stop to the near success syndrome the party has witnessed in the previous outings. IKEOHA Emmanuel Okewulonu insisted he is that striker the party at the zonal level needs now to score the needed goals, especially now that the party in Okigwe Zone doesn’t have any elected member both in the state House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives. He pleaded with the delegates to give him their maximum support to emerge and the see as he will in the general election come October 31st 2020 for them.
Leaders who spoke at the event passed votes of confidence on Chief Okewulonu while pointing out that he has the capacity, not only to reclaim Okigwe zone for PDP, but return the zone to the path of greatness through effective and quality representation.
