The former Bursar of Imo State University (IMSU), Mr Kingsley Mbamara, who hailed from Isiala Mbano is dead.
According to a reliable family source, he died yesterday morning, June 28, 2020, of complications arising from high blood pressure.
The late Mbamara, who was at the emergence of Governor Uzodinma, relieved his duty alongside Prof B.E.B Nwoke, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof Nkwam Uwaoma; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) and the Registrar, retired to his home in Owerri.
It was gathered that he was yet to officially handover before his untimely death.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the University, Nze Ralp Njoku-Obi, confirmed the report. He said that the deceased’s family had already called to inform the University of the sad development.
