A good-spirited son of the Imuihi community in the Ihitte/Uboma local government area of Imo State, Prince Chinemerem Ihekweme, on Saturday, April 24, 2020, distributed relief materials to no fewer than 66 poor widows across 22 autonomous communities in the LGA.
Prince Chinemerem, who is the founder of God of Eleventh Hour Foundation (GEH), targeted the poorest among the widows in the area, with his gesture aimed at alleviating the plight of the widows during the ongoing COVID-19 induced lockdown.
He said the gesture, which according to him drew the support of his friends, was evidence of his love for humanity.
The palliatives were received by the Interim Management Committee Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Chike Olemgbe who immediately handed them over to the traditional rulers of the 22 benefiting autonomous communities who subsequently distributed the food items to the targeted population.
The IMC boss commended Prince Chinemerem for providing the relief materials which he said would cushion the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the beneficiaries.
He said the humanitarian has written his name in the sands of time through his love for humanity.
The father of Prince Chinemerem, Eze (Sir) Lawrence Ihekweme thanked the IMC chairman and his co-traditional rulers for their efforts in protecting the interest of their various communities.
The royal father prayed for the protection of Ihitte/Uboma and its people both at home and in the diaspora in the face of the rampaging coronavirus pandemic.
