The noble order of Knights of St. Johns International, Orlu Grand Commandery in its second anniversary has awarded Senator Ifeanyi Araraume (KSJI), JP with an outstanding Distinguished Personality Award for his philanthropy, dedication to duties and humanitarian services to the church and the society at large.
In a colourful ceremony which was started with a pontifical high mass led by the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Most Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine T. Ukwuoma, and Bishop Emeritus Most Rev. Dr. Gregory O. Ochiagha with the clergies, Religious leaders, and Knights and Ladies of St. Johns International in attendance. The Bishop congratulated the Awardees and implored them to keep up their good works which have stood them out in the society.
During the ceremony which attracted many dignitaries from far and wide were particularly glowing tributes paid to Senator Araraume for his numerous contributions to the Nobel Order of Knights of St. Johns International especially in the projects of the Owerri Grand Commandery and the project in Enugu.
Senator Araraume was also appreciated for his efforts in building a befitting place of worship for God in his community, Isiebu in Isiala Mbano LGA as well as a parish house.
While receiving the award, the representatives of the Distinguished Senator Araraume, in the persons of Chief Emeka Iroka and Ebere Osuji thanked the executives and members of the Orlu Grand Commandery for the award. They promised to relay to the Senator all the good wishes of the Grand Commandery and wished them well in all their pursuits. They explained that the Distinguished Senator would have loved to be present to receive the award himself but was unavoidably absent on very presenting national duties.
