The coming onboard of an Imo State born but German based technocrat, Chief Collins Osuagwu into politics which is in accordance with the Imo State governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s decisions to hand over power to a youth below 50 years of age is a plus meant to help Imo people redefine governance and in turn to develop the state into an international standard.
A cross-section of Imo youths have described 2019 as the youths best opportunity to occupy the state seat of power and expressed confidence that Chief Collins Osuagwu who is a political green horn would definitely represent the state well and assured that all the youths in the state will support him irrespective of his political party affiliation, local government origin as well as his zonal.
Describing Chief Collins Osuagwu as an Imo State emerging political and governorship beautiful bride in 2019 with a genuine track records and a well known philanthropist from Ugiri clan in Isiala Mbano local government area, the youths urged Imolites to embrace him.
It could be recalled that the Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had earlier called on the Imo State political stakeholders on the need to allow a youth to become the next governor on the basis of the age limit of the 2019 gubernatorial candidates to 50 years. This action by the governor was well appreciated by the state based youths organizations who applauded the governor for his open mindedness and show of love to them.
They commended Chief Collins Osugwu for his large heart and honesty of purpose to represent the youths as the next Imo governor. These youths who spoke to Community Watchdog explained that only a youth can rescue Imo further.
