The National President of Imo Political Front for Good Governance (IPFFGG) Comrade Magnus Okorie, has vowed to proceed on self imposed exile in the event Governor Emeka Ihedioha loses the appeal against his victory pending at the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The Governor is defending claims by Senators, Araraume and Uzodinma that he never won the election but declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), citing none-compliance to the provisions of the electoral act.
Magnus Okorie was reacting to recent publications on the prediction of the removal of Ihedioha by the Supreme Court, which was widely circulated and prophesied by Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry, Enugu. Fr. Mbaka has restated that Emeka Ihedioha would be removed as governor.
In a recent press conference, while addressing the issue which has elicited several mixed reactions and anxiety, Comrade Okorie assured the people of Imo State that their Chief servant, Emeka Ihedioha will come out of the Supreme Court, victoriously. This he reiterated is because the candidate of other parties have not been able to prove their cases beyond reasonable doubts. He vowed to embarked on exile if the Governor does not defeat and disgrace his opponent at the Supreme Court.
According to him, “Imolites gave an overwhelming support to Hon. Emeka Ihedioha during the 2019 gubernatorial election and will not want to see those who lost the election, coming to collect power from the back door”. He further stated that he will go on political exile if the unexpected happens at the Supreme Court.
The National leader of Imo Political Front for Good Governance also condemned the January 6th, 2019, invasion of the local government council by the APC members and advised them to always follow due process in all that they do and not carrying out actions that could lead to breakdown of law and order in the state”, as witnessed last Monday, leading to the killing of a former councilor in Orsu LGA, while trying to regain access into his office.
