The law faculty of the Imo State University (IMSU) Owerri, once adjudged the best among Nigerian Universities is at it again coming tops at the recently concluded inter-university moot competition, organized by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The laurel and prize money for the competition were pretended to the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. (Lady) Victoria Adaobi Obasi, last Thursday, May 9, 2019, by the Dean of the Law Faculty, Prof. (Mrs) Ine Nnadi, who described the victory as a great accomplishment.
While presenting the laurels and cash award to the Vice Chancellor, she commended the university management and thanked the staff for their tremendous support and efforts given to them to participate in the competition for which the department gave a good account of itself.
The Imo State University, law faculty team was adjudged the best out of the competing universities by beating the University of Benin to the second position at the maiden competition held at the main auditorium of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
The contest was the maiden edition of the annual competition being organized by NDDC and carrys a cash prize of One Million Naira (N1 million) and a trophy, among other prizes.
