- Confers Chieftaincy Titles On 5 Illustrious Sons

The expansive and exquisite palace of the traditional ruler of Ishi Ubomiri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, His Royal Highness, Eze Emma Saint George Ekeh, was agog with activities on Easter Monday, April, 21, 2025 as the traditional ruler fondly called “Digital Monarch” by his subjects and others who hold him in very high esteem because of his endearing leadership style celebrated his 11th coronation anniversary in grand style.
Eze Ekeh, the elder brother of the renowned international businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Zinox Computers, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh, also used the opportunity to confer chieftaincy titles on some illustrious sons of the community who he also appointed as ^Anya Eze ^ which literally means, The ^Eze^s eyes^ to enhance administrative efficiency in the villages.
Eze Emma Saint George, who is also the Chairman, Mbaitoli Council of Traditional Rulers said, ^ by virtue of your dual recognition as Chiefs and Anya Eze , you are mandated to assist the Eze in ensuring peace and harmony in your respective communities and give him feedback on happenings as they unfold^
Speaking at the occasion, Eze Ekeh thanked and appreciated God for keeping and sustaining him all these years despite the challenges associated with his position which he described as a call to duty pointing out that “we are created to serve God and humanity in different capacities. It is therefore important for us to be alive to our duties and responsibilities irrespective of the challenges and the weight of the burden. For the past eleven years that l ascended the throne, the Almighty God has been my beacon of light and pillar of support and I give him all the glory
He also blessed me with sound, intelligent, purposeful and result-oriented assistants with whom i have been piloting the affairs of the community. I thank in a very special way, the cabinet chiefs, the Eze- in -Council and all those who contributed in one way or the other in making my reign peaceful and hitch free. May God bless you all. I also thank all sons and daughters of Ishi Ubommiri at home and in the Diaspora for keeping the faith. May God continuously bless and protect you all.^
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life including top politicians, academics, professionals, captains of industry, among others. The five newly installed Anya Eze also stormed the venue with their relatives, friends and associates, accompanied by different cultural dance groups that heightened the tempo of the colorful event.
Most of those who spoke to this reporter, described Eze Emma Saint George Eke, as ^a grassroots mobilizer who feels the pulse of his people and is always sensitive to their wishes, desires and aspirations. Hence, his reign has been peaceful, hitch free and result-oriented.^
The Youth Leader of Ishi Ubomiri, Uche Solomon Chukwudi, in his assessment, said, ^HRH, Eze Emma Saint George Ekeh, is a man of the people who carries everybody along. He is a very tolerant and understanding person with zero tolerance for all kinds of shady deals and transactions.
His leadership style and approach to issues have ensured peace, unity and mutual-existence in our community. That is why the youths, men and women, old and young are solidly with and behind him”.
Contrary to the age-long dictum that a prophet is without honour in his land, Sir Robert Nwaegbo, a retired soldier and Chairman of Umuajogba village, where, Eze Emma Saint George hails from described him as “a sincere, respectable and straight forward man whose word is his bond”.
The men who were tasked with rural responsibilities as chiefs and Anya Eze in their respective villages spoke glowingly about the traditional ruler adding that they consider it a privilege to be associated with him. They thanked him, the Eze- in- Council and the entire community for finding them worthy of the honour.
