The former Sole Administrator of Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State,Hon. Onyekachukwu Ezenwa has commended His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and security agents for restoring peace in their area.
Speaking on the renovated Orsu Police Divisional Headquarters,Hon. Ezenwa praised Uzodimma for his untiring efforts in ensuring that peace returns to Orsu.
He regretted how insecurity ravaged his peace loving communities in the past few years urging his people to always give useful information that would help security operatives to fight crime and criminality in Orsu Local Government.
The former Sole Administrator expressed joy that his peace initiatives(meetings) with critical stakeholders of Orsu during his reign as the Council Boss is currently yielding positive impact.

I must commend Orsu people for waking up at a time to speak against the hoodlums who hid under the guise of Biafra agitators to unleash mayhem on our people

“This insecurity has eaten deeply in our land. These hoodlums attacked me 3 times, but the Almighty God saved me.
I am happy that peace is gradually coming back to Orsu.
“Our dear Governor is trying immensely to ensure safety of our people, but I am urging my people to join hands together to fight insecurity in Orsu Local Government”.
Recall that the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, on March 25, 2025 commissioned the newly renovated Orsu Divisional Police Headquarters on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, marking a significant step in strengthening security in Orsu.
The Division which was previously vandalized by criminal elements has been rebuilt with modern facilities, including barracks accommodations, to enhance operational efficiency and personnel welfare.
To ensure sustained security in Orsu, the Command has deployed well-equipped personnel to the division. These officers will operate in synergy with the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), and local vigilante groups, reinforcing efforts to combat crime and maintain law and order across Orsu and its environs.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including Hon. Engr. Friday Ibekaeme, Executive Chairman of Orsu LGA, and Hon. Francis Uche Agabige, Member representing Orsu at the Imo State House of Assembly; and other principal staff of the local government administration. Their presence reaffirmed the collective commitment to stabilizing Orsu and ensuring the safety of its residents.
Speaking at the event, CP Aboki Danjuma, representing the IGP, commended Sir Terry Onyejiaku for rebuilding the division as part of his corporate social responsibility (CSR). He described it as a vital investment in Orsu’s security and a testament to the role of private individuals in community safety.
The CP further assured residents of the unwavering commitment of the Imo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, to restoring lasting peace and urged displaced residents to return, emphasizing that robust security measures are in place.
