-As He Secures Endorsement From Leaders From Over 14 Countries

In a strategic move to garner support ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Imo State, a leading aspirant, Chief Charles Orie held a crucial meeting on the 16th of March from his base in Canada with leaders of Imo indigenes in the diaspora. The meeting, which brought together representatives from Asia, Israel, Europe, UAE, and Oceania, resulted in a unanimous endorsement of Chief Orie as the right candidate to lead the state towards economic development and improved security.

During the virtual conference, diaspora leaders expressed confidence in Chief Orie’s capacity to address the pressing challenges facing Imo State, particularly in the areas of economic revitalization, job creation, and tackling insecurity.

Speaking on behalf of the European delegation, Mr. Chinedu Okonkwo emphasized that Chief Orie’s track record in business and leadership positions him as the ideal candidate to attract foreign investment and create opportunities for the youth.

Chief Okenwa- Brazil, Chief Don Odunze-Greece, among other representatives echoed the same sentiment agreeing that Orie is the right man and has what it takes to fulfill the long dream of Imolites in diaspora of having one of theirs to govern Imo State and usher in the era of real economic growth and development. Ikpo Kelechi-China,Hon Alex Offor-Holland,Chief Laz Iheuko-Dublin,Dr Henry Oguine-Luxembourgh,Ms Maureen Uche-Canada,Chidi Nwosu-Brazil, among others. 

Speaking during the virtual meeting,the UAE representative saifd,”We believe Chief Orie has the vision and the competence to transform Imo State into an economic hub. His engagement with the diaspora community shows he is ready to harness our expertise and investments for the development of our homeland,” these leaders stated.

At this point, Chief Orie interjected, saying,’Under my administration, Imo daisporans will never be ignored in the governance of the state, I will give them seat at the table, I am a diasporan myself.’

Representatives from Asia and Israel also praised Chief Orie’s commitment to tackling insecurity, which has slowed business growth and investment in the state. They pledged to support initiatives that would boost technology, agriculture, and infrastructure development under his leadership.

Moderator of the meeting, Chief Sir Aham Nwosu assured all present that Chief Orie is the GAME CHANGER.

In his remarks, Chief Orie expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and assured the diaspora leaders of his dedication to creating an enabling environment for economic prosperity and peace.

“My administration will prioritize security, education, and infrastructure, which are key to attracting investors and boosting local businesses. With the support of our brothers and sisters in the diaspora, we will make Imo State the pride of the Southeast region,” Chief Orie said.

The endorsement from the diaspora community is seen as a significant boost to Chief Orie’s run, as it reflects growing support from Imo citizens both at home and abroad.

Political analysts and pundits believe this support will strengthen his chances in the 2027 election, as the diaspora community plays a vital role in influencing public opinion and mobilizing resources for development initiatives.
