It was an electrifying atmosphere recently in Obibiezena  Ancient Kingdom,  in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State,  as one of her renowned sons and a  poland-based medical practitioner, Chief Sir Dr. Nnamaka  Ejiofor, was conferred  with another great title of ‘Omenukoaku 1’ of Owerri North by the members of Owerri North Council of Traditional Rulers, in recognition of his unparalleled and visible philanthropic gestures in his community and beyond.

  The chieftaincy conferment on Dr. Ejiofor which took place at the palace of Obibiezena traditional ruler, HRH Eze Peter  U. Onyewuenyi( Ezena 3 of Obibiezena Ancient  Kingdom), attracted many dignitaries from different walks of life,  including the  priests, politicians , youths, professionals, friends  and well-wishers to the event, with a view to witnessing  its organisation.

  Addressing the guests  in attendance before the conferment ritual,  Eze Onyewuenyi commended chief Nnamaka Ejiofor for his continuous philanthropy in every facet of development in  their  community, referring the organized exercise  as  a best way to reciprocate his numerous developmental  services.

  Eze Onyewuenyi equally  added  that Chief Ejiofor’s overt contributions  in  the procurement of a  security  operational vehicle for the  local vigilante, installation of solar lights, sponsorship of students scholarship, construction and rehabilitation of roads  and many more other things in the community motivated all the traditional rulers of Owerri North LGA  to find him worthy for the second exalted  title of  ‘Omenaukoaku 1 which  would  actually serve as  an  addition to his already held  title of Onwanagbaraoha 1 of Obibiezena, stating that  such would make  Chief  Ejiofor to be the first Obibiezena son to receive a Higher Chieftaincy title  in the land.

    Eze  Onyewuenyi therefore advised Chief Ejiofor to continue with his exhibited spirit of philanthropy in Obibiezena, praying God to keep prospering and sustaining him.

  In his own contribution, HRH Eze Dr. Lucky Ndubuisi Okoro  who represented the chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Emmanuel Okeke, extolled the deposited trait of humanitarianism in Chief Nnamaka Ejiofor and his unrelenting use of his  wealth to help the people of Obibiezena and beyond.

  In same vein, the chieftaincy title recipient, Chief Ejiofor, in  his interaction  with some newsmen thereafter, described the event as  very unique and distinguished for its ability to making  him  the first personality from Obibiezena Community to have been conferred with a  second chieftaincy title and must not fail to be  recognized by history.  

  He said: ” Iam like the sun  which you cannot cover. It is there and certainly you will see it, the truth is there and the fact is also there”.

  Expressing further, chief Ejiofor recounted how happy he was when over nineteen traditional rulers of Owerri North   LGA came together to confer him with the great title of ‘ Omenukoaku 1 of Owerri North, in recognition of his personality and his previous philanthropic services   to humanity in Obibiezena Community and elsewhere, assuring  that all his philanthropy would adequately be sustained.

  Stretching his discussion further, Dr. Ejiofor stated that his spirit of philanthropy was also  felt in the foreign land through his medical practice.

  He added that his regular synergy with some sons of Obibiezena in diaspora  resulted in the procurement of Vigilante Security Vehicle  for crime combat, adding that he single-handedly assisted in the building of some structures and school gate  at the John  F. Kennedy International Secondary School, Obibiezena, the  dualization/ rehabilitation of Amaeze road, thereby  making it motorable and his regular  financial assistance in various educational programmes of some students  of  Obibiezena Community.

  As a family  physician in Poland with many years of experience, when asked by the journalists to make a comparison in the area of medical efficiency between his home country and Poland, Dr. Ejiofor   tactically declined, using his long departure from Nigeria as a reason.

  On the area of cultural and traditional domination  by the Europeans,  Chief Ejiofor advised his African brothers living in Europe  to resist the  use  of various forms of  unnecessary soft power by the Europeans  to  influence them with a view to showing their total dominance, re- emphasizing  the historical commencement of civilization in Africa(Egypt).
