– Accuses Gov’s Aide, Nwakamma Of Land Grabbing
The elders and youths of Mboke Dinidi, Ihiagwa autonomous community in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, on Friday 30th, and Saturday, 31st January, 2025 stormed the Okigwe Road office of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Special Adviser (S.A) on Land Recovery, Pascal Nwakanma ( Dum Dum) to inform him of the need to stay away from their ancestral land known as “ALA UZO UBI MBOKE FARM LAND”, in his own interest.
The group of protesters made it clear to Nwakamma, that contrary to the false narrative being peddled by those they referred to as mischievous interested parties, Mboke farm land was not at any time acquired by the Imo State Housing Corporation or any government agency. Hence, the status of the land has nothing whatsoever to do with his office as the special Adviser to the Governor on Land Recovery.
“We therefore urge you to release our farm land through our Attorney E-ENOLAR, as you have nothing to recover from it. We are here to reaffirm our stand and make the following clear to the public.
“ That you should stay clear from Mboke farm land, your attitude does not represent the person of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma.
The so-called Chief Bartram Uzodimma is not from Mboke village and does not represent us; we did not commission him for whatever reason to do anything on our behalf.
The Imo Housing State Housing Corporation did not at any time acquire Mboke farm land in 2017 (as Paschal Nwakanma falsely claimed).
Mboke farmland is not in any dispute with our neighboring villages (Obinze, Avu, Umuelem, and Umuoma) communities unless they are the ones you’re instigating.
FUTO never acquired our farm land.
Mr Emmanuel Uzoma, Stanley Anyanwu, and Ugochukwu Omeni do not represent us as the owners of the land.
Our proposal is already with His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Commissioner for Lands for the release of our FUTO encumbered farm land through our Attorney E-ENOLAR.
Remove the 4 Caterpillars you put in our farmland as you acknowledged the fact that you pushed them in.
Imo State Housing Corporation should be on the know that we the families and kindreds in Mboke did not, have never signed any documents with them.
Imo Housing should be on alert and put their eyes on the S.A Land Recovery (Paschal Nwakanma) incase he comes with any signed document, we never sent him and we will not send him without our Attorney, E-ENOLAR.
His desperation to grab our farmland should also be questioned (His Excellency our God sent Governor Hope Uzodimma is not a Land Grabber.
Chief Emmanuel Uzoma must work in synergy with our Attorney E-ENOLAR ,who must approve any of his activities/documents as our Attorney as regards Mboke farm LAND before it can be legally binding
Let it be on record that 25 of us from Mboke village, including our Attorney, have signed and written our names on plain white paper. Should you at any time use it against us in the Housing with any claim of backdated acquisition documents as you refused to put a date on the attendance list you provided?
We hereby put His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma, Hon Chief Bar Enyinnaya Onuegbu, Commissioner for Lands, the Commissioner of Police, Imo state command and other security agencies in the know, and to hold the Governor’s S.A on Land Recovery (Paschal Nwakanma), Chief Bartram Uzodimma, Stanley Anyawu (Mayor), Mr Emmanuel Uzoma Responsible for any crisis that may arise while defending our community and farmland. They are threatening to arrest our Attorney and the entire village youth with the tiger base squad.
Note: In 2018/2019 it was the same Stanley Anyawu (Mayor) that brought one bottling company from Lagos into our Mboke farmland in disguise of Imo State Housing Corporation. We resisted the move through our Attorney, E-ENOLAR. In 2020 he went and sold his family land to Capital city Real Estate, the family resisted him and took him to court. In 2021, he brought FUTO into our land (the fight is still going on and we are waiting for His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma to resolve it). Today, the same person is bringing the so-called Bartram Uzodimma (A land Grabber) in disguise of Imo Housing into the same land.
This, was contained in a petition signed on behalf of the community by Obilobi John Ubawunwa (Chairman Obilobi), Nze Ajuku, Obilobi Charles Nwaneri, Obilobi Charles Nkwopara, Obilobi Obi Ukwunna, Obilobi Ugwunna Uzoma, Obilobi Samuel Uba and made available to the press.
