Dr Fabian Ihekweme, the embattled Alike, Obowo Local Government Area-born former Commissioner for International Affairs in the Hope Uzodinma administration, who was released from police custody after being detained for almost two months hospitalized.
A viral video circulating online shows where he was receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
A family source who narrated his ordeal while in the custody of the Tiger Base Unit of Imo State Police Command, said the former Commissioner took ill while in detention and was not properly treated.
According to him, his illness is as a result of how he was maltreated during and after his arrest in Abuja.
When asked if he was talking audibly, the source said, “Yes, he is talking, but he is very weak and in a terrible state”.
