-Describes It As Misleading
-Tells Uzodimma To Apologize To His Former Commissioner, Atulegwu, If…
The Attorney of the Host Communities of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), ESV Sam Anokam, has described as misleading and outright falsehood the claim by Chief Bartram Uzodimma; who falsely claimed to be from Mboke Dindi Ihiagwa Community, that the disputed land in Obinze and Umuoma Nekede was acquired by the Imo State Government under a housing project partnership with Fratelo Properties, which he said that he is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Anokam further said that the claim is untrue, and misleading.
Reacting to the claim in an interview, Chief Anokam said: “Fratelo or Chief Uzodimma had repeatedly been warned against meddling with this land which he has for personal greed dragged the officers of the State Government and Imo State Housing Corporation into it.
Continuing, Anokam said: “If the Governor is behind him, then the Governor should apologize to his former Commissioner for Lands, Noble Atulegwu and Nze Chinasa Nwaneri and their accomplice for disgracing them out of office over same land grabbing offence.
Chief Bartram Uzodimma was apparently reacting to an earlier outcry by indigenes of Obinze and Umuoma Nekede Communities over what they called illegal encroachment into their land by the Special Adviser (SA) to the Governor on Lands Recovery, Paschal Nwakama with the accompanying Police officers from Tiger Base Squad Owerri.
Uzodimma claimed that the land was collectively released by the communities to the Imo State Government, adding that the land in dispute is outside the area under litigation between FUTO and the Host Communities. This is another falsehood as the land is part of the subject land in contest between the host communities and FUTO.
Bartram Uzodinma further claimed that the Imo State Government, through an inter-ministerial Committee, has been working to mediate and resolve lingering land matters in the area
In his reaction, the Host Communities Attorney retorted, “Which land was released?” He further said: “These persons are pursuing vested personal interests as land grabbers who are dropping the name of the Governor. Let me add that the said prominent persons and Fratelo should make public the letter of the land release.
“They should produce letter of land release by Imo State Governor or the Federal Government. It is meant to once again defraud unsuspecting land purchasers like the Noble Atulegwu saga. These dubious people are fond of using Imo Housing Corporation. Where is the former Commissioner for Housing and former General Manager of Imo Housing?” They were agents of land drabbing activities over this swathe of land.
Furthering, Anokam stated: “Imagine the dubious persons crediting my efforts at initiating the intervention of the Federal Government to Imo State Government. I challenge them to publish Imo State Government correspondence that gave rise to the inter-ministerial Committee and I publish mine and the Federal Government response.”
ESV Sam Anokam, who has been the Attorney of the FUTO Host Communities, for a very long time now, totally dismissed the claims by Bartram Uzodinma as outrightly misleading and aimed at dragging the name of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma and his S.A on land Recovery into his shameful and unworthy act of land grabbing. ESV Anokam request the Governor to set up an investigation on this matter and bring the culprits to book.
