The people of Amanator autonomous community, in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State have commended their Eze-Elect, Chief Francis Emeka Ujagba, for fulfilling his promise to construct a 9 -kilometer road in addition to empowering 200 youths and women with the sum of two hundred thousand Naira (#200,000) each.
The Eze-Elect was said to have made the promise when he was formally presented to the Sole Administrator (SOLAD) of Orlu Local Government Area as the Eze-elect of his community.
The President General of the community, Chief John Egolu, who commended the Eze-elect for keeping his promise expressed delight that the road construction is presently on-going as well as the empowerment of women and youths, which also include distribution of rice to all families and kindreds in Amanator, Okporo, to cushion the effect of the prevailing economic hardship.
A community leader, Hon Emmanuel Odidika (Okenwa) thanked God for blessing the community with an illustrious son like the Eze-elect who is passionately committed to the welfare of the people, especially the indigent.
Recall, that Chief Francis Emeka Ujagba Eze Otundu, Mmiri na ezoro oha of Amanator, Okporo autonomous community was elected on September, 14, 2024, in a keenly contested election after the death of His Royal Highness Eze VNC Ugballa, who died in February 2021 and was buried in September, 2024.
