The Vice Chancellor of Imo State University,Prof UU Chukwumaeze has paid glowing tributes to the GLOBAL IMO STATE UNIVERSITY GRADUATES ALUMNI GIMSUGA for their far reaching and helping interventions such as the renovation of 3 blocks of toilet and donation of twenty units of high-end Hewlet-Packard brand of computer laptops complete with equal numbers of printers. This he noted was consequential to the institutions positive appraisal and accreditation by the NUC.
The Vice Chancellor who stated this through the DVC, (Academics) Rev.Fr. (Prof) Philip Ogbonna, who represented him at the occasion, was visibly elated over this most heartwarming gesture from the *GLOBAL IMO* *STATE UNIVERSITY* *GRADUATES ALUMNI* *GIMSUGA* .
The alumni association of Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri, known as the Global Imo State University Graduates Alumni (GISUGA) renovated and handed over three blocks of toilet structures to the alma mata.
The handover which was done on Thursday, November, 21, 2024, elicited heart warming greetings and out pouring of gratitude from the management staff and students of the university who commended the Dr Anayo Uhiara-led executive of GIMSUGA for the noble initiative.
Speaking with Newsmen,Amb. Nathan Anaele Otunba,the Global Publicity Secretary/Public Relations Officer said they were motivated to embark on the project because, the cardinal request of the 18th Republic Student Union during the Town Hall event of the 2023 Annual Global Convention was the restoration of the moribund toilet facilities within the university. Hence, as a group that prides itself to be a dependable development partner to the institution, the Uhiara led administration engaged immediately resulting in the restoration of toilet facilities on campus.
Earlier,the indefatigable Global President of the *Global* *Imo State University* *Graduates Alumni* *GIMSUGA, Dr. Anayo* *Uhiara* participated in Pre-activity clean up exercise at the Imo State University Love Garden.
