Ogubundu Nwadike, Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on media has cried out over his loss at the All Progressive Congress APC, Imo State Local government election primaries, which, according to him was marred by irregularities induced by some people’s desire to have it all at the expense of the wishes of the greater majority.

Nwadike, who went philosophical berated leaders who take delight in deceiving, misinforming and mesmerizing their followers, aides and supporters who look up to them for guidance.

He also expressed disappointment over the antics of some so-called leaders who misconstrue fraud, deceit, and misinformation as power, smartness and a capacity to outsmart people at all cost.

Nwadike, in a release he issued said, “what many people see as power is a dot on the power page of real power!  Deceiving and misleading those who look up to you and even depend on you for guidance isn’t a sign of power at all!

“Intimidating and harassing less privileged people, including those you’re that believe in you as their eyes, hands, legs and voices in high places  can’t qualify as a show of force, power and authority!

“Good leaders successfully isolate their rivals and competitors from their loyalists and dependents, who they must shield from their rivals and competitors!  When a so-called leader condescends to the level of telling lies to his loyalists and dependents, then how can he still convince himself that he’s a leader?

“Of course, when a leader tells his loyalists and dependents the truth, he earns more regard and respect from them, endearing himself thr more to them, and securing their further loyalty!

“It’s not same when the leader decides to deploy _vamvum_ and _bubuyaya_ styles and systems that cause neither here nor there confusion among his loyalists and dependents!

“What shall it profit a leader to lie to his loyalists and dependents, deceive them, misinform them, mislead them, and risk the loss of his leadership, and their recognition, regard and respect?

A leader should be a person whose yea is yea and nay is nay, without compromise”.
