Tongues are presently wagging about the activities of the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on Land Recovery, Paschal Nwakamna (Dum Dum), who, is alleged to be in the habit of dropping the Governor’s name, to allegedly extort money from unsuspecting land owners in the state.
Some Imolites across political divide have expressed concern about the way Nwakamna and his cohorts are allegedly denting the image of the 3R administration despite the Governor’s concerted effort to sanitize the system as it concerns land allocation, acquisition with a view to ensuring that it would no longer be business as usual.
Some of those who spoke to this reporter said, “it is surprising that despite the steps the Governor took to sanitize the system by dislodging the former cabal that created problems and rubbished the image of his administration by engaging in fraudulent land deals, Pascal Nwakamna, an overbearing, high-handed, stubborn person, who hardly takes instruction from any person still had the guts to engage in fraudulent land grabbing not minding that the Governor is also the Commissioner for Lands in the state”.
They described Pascal Nwakamna as a high handed, stubborn and inconsiderate person who hardly takes instruction or adheres to directives. He sees himself as an Emperor who has the power of life and death, hence he can do whatever he like without reference to any person or group of persons.
Efforts to reach Nwakamna for comment on the report, proved abortive as he did not respond to calls put to his phone.
However, when he was earlier contacted in respect of a similar accusation, that borthered on fraudulent sale of peoples lands, he arrogantly said that he doesn’t know the journalist who called him, insisting that the journalist comes to his office.
They called the Governor to beam his searchlight on the alleged fraudulent activities of Dum Dum before it makes the state government by his actions.
