– Says no division in Owerri Municipal party leadership
The T.C Chairman emeritus, Owerri Municipal Council, Hon. Joseph Agor (Nze Joe) has thanked God for the successful APC Ward Congress because lot of people thought APC will be divided following intrigues leading to the Congress.
Speaking, he stated that the leader of the party in Imo State, Governor Rochas Okorocha is a man that welcomes people, a man with the wisdom and knowledge of leadership. “He Owelle Okorocha has handed over the leadership of APC to the party so that the party will be autonomous and nobody will insinuate that the Governor has hijacked the party”, he stated.
Nze Joe as he is fondly called remarked that there is no division in Imo APC as the state Chairman; Dr. Hilary Eke is doing his work uninterruptedly. He added that the party is supreme in the state and the congress has come and gone. He urged all APC faithful in the state to ensure orderliness, peace, unity and support the party to ensure victory in the state, as 2019 general elections draw’s nearer.
The former T.C. Chairman reiterated that Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has always allowed party stakeholders viz Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, Senator Osita Izunaso, Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, Prince Eze Madumere etc the opportunity to participate unhindered in the affairs of the party.
Hon. Agor disclosed that in his Ward (Ikenegbu Ward 1), everybody is happy, adding that it is a guided congress so that there will be peace, (ono nga ono ya no shie ike). He described his Ward as the most populated and the eye of Owerri Municipal Council because the Commissioner for Finance, Barr Obinna Mbata, the T.C Chairman, Zander Ojiri, the Commissioner in the state Judicial Service Commission Chief Jude Agbugba etc all come from the Ward.
He assured that they will all join hands together to see that victory is theirs in all elections for there is no bitterness and rancor in Owerri Municipal Council chapter of Imo APC.
“Let there be peace, and one APC because the guidelines for the congress are quite clear. Nobody changes anybody.
The congress is one of the things that destroy a party, let us move APC forward irrespective of where you belong. Our paramount responsibility is to move APC above any other party in Nigeria and get victory in 2019”, Nze Joe maintained.
