Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu CFR, OFR (Aha Eji Aga Mba Ndigbo), President -General of the Apex Igbo Socio-Cultural Organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.

“This shocking news  struck us like thunderbolt considering the fact that Chief Iwuanyanwu as an Elder Statesman and  President- General of Ohaneze Ndigbo has been deeply entrenched and committed to the cause of Ndigbo in the last couple of years, even when he was supposed to be resting and enjoying his retirement. His love for our people was so immeasurable and motivational and that obviously  informed his decision to  deploy everything at his disposal to champion the cause of Ndigbo.

“It is inspiring to mention the quality and exemplary leadership Chief Iwuanyanwu had provided over the years prior to his emergence as the OHANEZE  President- General which was rather astounding and topnotch. However, with  attainment of the pinnacle of his patriotic and selfless service to Ndigbo as the President-General of their Apex Socio-Cultural Organization, the Ohaneze Ndigbo,Chief Iwuanyanwu worked tirelessly with passion, deploying enormity of his wealth of experience, expertise, contacts and material resources to see how best to fix numerous challenges facing the people of South East Nigeria, especially at it’s most critical time in the contemporary Nigeria’s political history where issues of insecurity, separatist agitations and  Nigerian question dominate national debates and discussions at various levels and fora.

“Chief Iwuanyanwu was a nationalist, patriot, nation builder and highly detribalized Nigerian whose love and sacrifices for growth, development and unity of Nigeria got practically expressed and extended beyond/across tribal and geographical boundaries through his extraordinary philanthropic gestures, astute political leadership, excellent enterprenural prowess, inter-ethnic bridges of understanding and goodwill and above all, his love for peaceful coexistence among diverse religious and tribal groups in Nigeria. His contributions to the development of democracy and making of modern Nigeria cannot be forgotten in a hurry or overemphasized”.

“Though we are in pain over this irreplaceable and irreparable loss of a leader and pathfinder, however, we are consoled that Chief Iwuanyanwu as a shining star was  embodiment of excellence, huge accomplishments and a pride of the good people  South East Nigeria at .As we mourn him, it is also pertinent for us to honour and celebrate his befitting legacies and good life he lived while he sojourned here on the planet Earth.

On this  note, let me therefore condole the immediate family of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the people of Attah Autonomous Community, Ikeduru L.G.A, the Governor and good people of Imo State and the entire people of South East Nigeria over the departure of this colossus and great man who came, saw and conquered.
