A gale of resignations has hit the Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, as 26 people including members of the State Executive Council, former and present lawmakers etc have tendered their letters of resignation.
This is happening after the extension of the tenure of the Damagun-led National Executive Committee which is said to be working hand in gloves with the President Tinubu-led All Progressive Congress APC to destabilize the PDP.
“On Wednesday, 23rd April, 2024, 26 leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party resigned their membership of the PDP. Prominent among them is the former Imo state Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. Same day, other zonal leaders of the party in from Imo including the state executives and candidates of the party in the last election, turned in their resignation letters”.
Some of those who have reisgned their membership of the PDP, include, “1.
