A Group of Owerri Zone born Sons and Daughters, cuting across all Political Parties, Professions or Call, gathered together once more in pursuance of Governor of Imo State,but of Owerri extraction come 2027.
The meeting held in the Premises of Capt Emma Iheancho in Awaka, Owerri North LGA, Imo State, as the Host and Convener.
In the Discussion it was resolved in unison that IMO HARMONY PROJECT (IHP) be adopted as the name of the Group to Champion the realization of Imo Charter of Equity, which said Owerri Zone should produce the next Governor of Imo State in 2027 after Senator Uzodinma leaves office.
The occasion was attended by Top Owerri Zone Sons and Daughters in Academia, Politics, Religion, Tradition and Customs, Business, Diaspora and Youths who gave the Central Working Committee CWC a marching order to put up a frame work that would enable the Group swing into action without delay.
In a Communique signed by Captain Emma Iheancho, it disclosed that the Central Working Committee, based on the directive by the General House “has made a recommendation for the adoption of a Committee-based structure for the prosecution of the Campaign as discussed”.
The Committee therefore created Eleven Sub Committees to kickoff the quest for Owerri 2027 Governorship, based on Charter of Equity.
The Committees are:Media and Publicity, Social Media Campaign, Contact and Mobilization, Strategy,Youth Mobilization, Women Mobilization, Finance and Budget, Research and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Diaspora Engagement.
The Communique said that Imo Harmony Project”recognizes the very significant roles to be played by various Stakeholders in supporting the realization of the project through advocacy, Mobilization and outreach”
