-As Group Sympathize With Imolites,Nigerians Over Economic Hardship
The Imo state chapter of Labour party(LP) will from today,March 15,2024 begin it membership revalidation.
In a release caption, “Notice of Commencement of membership Revalidation and registration”,signed by the state Chairman of the party,Barr Calistus Ihrejiagwa stated that the excercise will hold simultaniously across the 305 wards of Imo state.
Members and intending members are expected to take advantage of the opportunity to register and revalidate their membership.
The release reads,”In line with the various Resolutions of SWC, SEC and Stakeholders and approved by our distinguished National Chairman Barr. Julius Abure for membership revalidation and registration of new members, I wish to respectfully inform you that the exercise will commence on Saturday 23rd March, 2024 in all the 305 wards in Imo State.
“To ensure that the exercise is very transparent & open to both old & new members who genuinely wish to belong to our great Party, we will on Friday 15th March constitute 7man Stakeholders Committee to monitor & supervise the exercise.
Please join hands with us to rebuild and strengthen our great Party”.
Meanwhile,a labour party support group under the aegis of New Nigeria Movement,NNM have extended their sympathy to Imolites over what they described as APC- inflicted economic hardship.
The Imo state chapter of the group led by Comrade Christian Ogbuka called on every Imolite who is aggrieved by the APC style of leadership which they said has taken Nigerians 100 years backward to begin in earnest in ensuring change of government at all levela by 2027.
Ogbuka said,”No one should sit on the fence.Time to act is now.We must all register with Labour party and join Peter Obi in reclaiming this country from bereft leaders.
