Governor Hope Uzodimma and other political heavyweights in Imo State are set to grace the occasion of the Inauguration of the Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu-led Imo Progressives Movement (IPM).
The event is scheduled to hold tomorrow at the Ndubuisi Kanu Square, Owerri.
In a statement issued by IPM’s Publicity Secretary, Collins Opurozor, on Thursday and made available to newsmen, the group said with the internal cohesion in APC and superlative performance of Governor Uzodinma, the victory of APC in Imo State is a done deal.
“Indeed, November 11, 2023 shall be a day to show appreciation for the wonderful works of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
“When we ply the Owerri-Orlu Road which you have constructed to world-class, we thank God for the gift of a Leader like Governor Uzodinma. Also, the Owerri-Okigwe Road, the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia and many other roads constructed by our Governor, all bear testimony to the fact that our Governor is not just focussed and performing, but he is also a Leader who believes in equity and he has equitably distributed the dividends of democracy across all parts of the State.
“Today, Imo youths are progressively being pulled out of poverty through the Skill-Up Imo Project, which has trained in empowered over twenty thousand youths. This is a lofty initiative of our Governor.
“Our farms are yielding again, because of the support, incentives and farm inputs which our Governor has made available for us.
“Our university has again started to graduate medical doctors which accreditation was lost many years ago. The Federal Medical Center in Owerri is now University Teaching Hospital, and our Governor did it.
“Our Governor has reformed our Civil Service, motivated the workforce with prompt payment of salaries and free transportation scheme, and currently recruiting thousand of our fellow youths as teachers across the State,” the statement read.
