– As Convener, Dibiagwu Hails Governor’s Accomplishments
The Imo Progressives Movement (IPM) has slated Saturday, October 14, 2023 for the historic inauguration of well over 10,000 officers of the Movement drawn from the nearly 5,000 polling units, 305 Wards, 27 LGAs and 3 Senatorial Districts of Imo State.
This inauguration which will take place at Ndubuisi Kanu Square in Owerri shall mark the formal activation and field deployment of the structure for the task of ensuring landslide victory for Governor Hope Uzodimma across all the polling units in the State on November 11, 2023.
It is necessary to note that, all over the world, citizens who are desirous of socio-political advancement have always risen and forged a common front in order to actualize the task of building a better society. This is vision behind the formation of the Imo Progressives Movement (IPM).
The Movement has, therefore, assembled thousands of patriotic Imo citizens and residents, and has constituted them into a formidable political force, so that the dividends of democracy recorded in the State under Governor Uzodimma are not rolled back.
Addressing a session of the Management Committee of the Movement in Owerri earlier this week, the National Convener, Rt. Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu, extolled the leadership qualities of Governor Uzodimma, and added that the Governor’s accomplishments in all the sectors of the State’s economy are very numerous to mention.
“Today, Imo is known for quality road infrastructure. Healthcare facilities have been built, and the health prospects of our people are better now. The young people are being trained and up-skilled, and pulled out of poverty and unemployment. Farmers are being supported with inputs, incentives and extension services. The civil service has been reformed and repositioned. Insecurity is being addressed with commitment and sincerity of purpose. Imo is on the path of sustainable growth,” Dibiagwu said.
October 14 is, therefore, a day that thousands of key grassroots players will converge under the umbrella of IPM to cast the re-election project of Governor Hope Uzodimma on concrete.
