The Imo State governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Hon Uche Ben Odunze, has reaffirmed his commitment to providing quality education that will be accessible to all, irrespective of social status.
Hon Odunze who stated this while addressing party faithful and supporters recently stated that his administration will not only subsidize education but also implement a policy thrust that will ensure that no child in the state is denied the benefit of quality education as a result of poverty or inability to pay tuition fees.
He said, “if elected governor, I will declare s state of emergency on education and make it compulsory for all Imo citizens. No child will be allowed to hawk on the streets during schools hours”.
He posited that when you empower a child with quality education, you have empowered a generation adding that the future of any society lies in the education of her citizens”.
“To this end, we will provide education that is hinged on skills development. The formal and informal education will be given attention so that no person will be left behind”.
