The immediate past Interim Management Committee Chairman of Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Honourable John Eke has urged women to vote APC in the forthcoming general election.
Chief Eke made this plea on Sunday August 14, when he graced the thanksgiving service of St Charles Catholic Parish Okwu-Ogbaku during the recently concluded CWO August home and abroad meeting.
Addressing Catholic women on the occasion of the launching for the “parish school brand new bus project” Chief Eke pointed some verifiable projects executed by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government in some communities in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, such as; renovation of health centers across the 12 INEC wards, Construction of open markets for women, donation of electric transformers to Ogbaku and Umunoha wards, ongoing construction of Five kilometer roads, among others.
The former IMC chairman who also donated the sum of (N100,000) one hundred thousand naira cash on behalf of his party (APC) to support the Catholic women brand new bus project in Ogbaku.
Honourable Eke told the Catholic women to shun political propaganda from the opposition Parties who’s target is to blackmail the good works of the governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
According to him; “Our Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has achieved in less than three years what past administrations could not achieve in Imo State both in infrastructure and human capital development.
“Let’s recall the sorry state of infrastructure in Imo before Governor Uzodinma came into government. Today bad roads are becoming things of the past in Imo State.
“Imo workers no longer protest over unpaid salaries like in the past, Senator Hope Uzodinma’s APC led administration has made it easier for workers to receive their salaries through automated system (E-payment).
“Under the APC led administration of Senator Hope Uzodinma, major roads in Imo State have been reconstructed, to enable easy transit. Roads such as Owerri-Orlu, Owerri-Okigwe, Owerri-Ph road, Naze-Aba road, Poly Nekede-Ihiagwa road among others.
“Our achievements speak for us, I urge women of CWO to vote for APC in the forthcoming general election. Our candidate for Mbaitoli State constituency seat is Engr Innocent Ikpamezie, the former General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), Akarachi Amadi for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru House of Representatives seat, Prince Alex Mbata for Owerri Senate and Asiwaju hmed Bola Tinubu for President. They are all qualified” Eke said.
In their response, The CWO Okwu-Ogbaku chairlady, Mrs Adaoma Maureen Bede who spoke on behalf of the women expressed their gratitude to the former IMC boss Chief John Eke.
