-May implicate cohorts on iligal sell of property
Mr Chris Akaraonye, a retired level 8 photographer with Ministry of Information who parades himself as a journalist is again enmeshed in forgery scandal over his qualification.
He is also accused of impersonating the office of Imo NUJ Chairman which he allegedly uses to defraud unsuspecting Imolites with tacit support of the national President, Mr Chris Isiguzo.
Akaraonye is not alone in these fraudulent activities as most of his friends are also said to be parading themselves as journalists when they have no requisite qualification in Journalism as provided by the Constitution.
The national President was said to have struck a deal with the former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha to cajole Akaraonye and others into signing a fraudulent lease agreement with the Ex-governor’s proxy. The lease agreement was signed while the matter that bothers on leadership of the Union was still pending in Court.
According to a legal pundit who spoke to this reporter on condition of anonymity, Akaraonye and his cohorts will end up in jail.He said that their decision to sell or lease Union’s property is contemptuous and the court frowns at such offence , adding that the criminal angle to the case should be brought to court to serve as deterrent to others.
