The Imo state government yesterday appointed one Barr Daniel Bwala as it’s spokesperson to represent the government during a Channels Television interview between Mr Uche Nwosu and the government of Imo state.
The development has cast some doubts on the relevance or competence of senator Hope Uzodinma’s appointees, including the Commssioner for Information and strategy, Mr Declan Emelumba who many argue messed up the government by attempting to defend the Nigeria police.
Emelumba had shortly after the arrest of Uche Nwosu organized a press conference in Owerri where he assumed the position of the Police spokesperson and begun to defend the action of Nigeria police in a manner that portray the government as having prior knowledge or outrightly masterninded the arrest.
These many political analysts view as own goal of which if not properly managed will demarket the government.
Bwala is a Notherner, known for defending APC programs.He was said to have been appointed by the government of Imo State to put up a strong defence for it with view of exonerated the government from involvement in the alleged abduction of Nwosu by security agents
The interview was to x-ray the circumstances that surrounded the invasion of the St Peters Anglican Church, Eziama Obiare in Nkwerre LGA from where Uche Nwosu was arrested during a thanksgiving service of his late mother who was buried on the December 22,2021.
