All roads will lead to Protea Hotels, Owerri, Imo State, Tuesday, April 22,2025, as a group Imo Indigenes Global Initiative for Efficient Public Services, roll out the red carpet to celebrate Dr Clifford Ogbede.
Dr Ogbede, the Executive Director Agriculture, Rural Development and Natural Resources, in the South East Development Commission(SEDC) is being honoured and celebrated by the group, for his contributions to national development leading to the establishment of commission,and subsequent appointment as pioneer member of the management board.
A statement issued to this effect by the event organizers, represented by, Mazi Anayo Didi Oguguo, Chairman Planning Committee, and Victor C. Nwaneri Secretary, disclosed that the epoch making event tagged ” Welcome/ Support Banquet,” is being put together to welcome home the Executive Director, and demonstrate solidarity with him.
It further said the program, which will hold at the upscale Protea Hotels, New Owerri, will start by 2 pm on the dot,and is expected to be graced by leaders from different sectors of life, including politics, captains of industry, religious, cultural and community leaders.
The group expressed immense gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria, as ably led by President Bola Tinubu, the State Government led by Senator Hope Uzodinma and the legislative arm, particularly Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker House Representatives,Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senate President, for the creation of SEDC after more than fifty years wait, and appointment of Dr Ogbede into the management team.
