Self employed Surveyors in Imo State, have resumed work following the release of their chairman, Surveyor Pascal Nze who has been granted bail following his recent remand in prison custody and the refusal of an Owerri Magistrate Court to grant him bail.
Speaking to newsmen, after his release, Nze, who was remanded in prison at the instance of the court, on February,18, 2025, said he regained his freedom on February, 21. He said he has briefed his legal team who are now taking a critical look at the matter which according to him will come up for hearing later this month.
Nze who declined further comments on the matter, also refused to entertain more questions from journalists on the ground that the matter is already in Court, noted that his lawyers are the people that can speak on the matter.
Recall that, the Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Surveyors in Imo State, Pascal Nze was on Tuesday, February, 18, 2025 remanded at the Owerri Correctional Center and the matter for which he was arraigned adjourned to a later date.
This prompted Surveyors in the state to resort to getting beacon numbers of the 3-man committee which is also legally permissible”.
