– Demand Explanation On Gov’s 4000 Overseas Job Promise
Imo Youths have berated the Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State, on Youth Affairs, Eric Uwakwe for promising them non-existent youth employment when his principal on whose behalf he is made the false promise is yet to fulfill his earlier promise of providing 4000 overseas jobs for Imo youths.
The youths who spoke over the weekend expressed anger and frustration over the Governor, Senator Uzodinma’s failure to match his words with action, adding that there are multiple indications that he is grossly insensitive to the plight of the youths.
“The Governor who during the campaign promised to transform the lives of Imo youths has failed woefully in that aspect. He promised to take 4000 youths of the state to Europe where they will be gainfully employed among other promises but that has remained a mirage till date, despite several verbal and written reminders.
Reacting to Uwakwe’s post which reads, “Imo youths, be ready for empowerment”, Bobby Brown said, “you should hide your face in shame for having the guts to spill such deceitful falsehood.” Akwarandu A E, said, “those that governor Uzodinma promised to take to Europe, “have they come back. How did it go”.
Kizito Duru in his reaction said, “you should hide your face in shame,…your boss is yet to fulfil his promise to take youths to Europe and you are here making more empty promises. Please don’t just go there. You are still very young. We can pardon him because he is a politician”.
Recall that Imo Youths For Good Governance has repeatedly called on Governor to redeem his pledge in that aspect or tell Imo people how far ne has gone or the challenges he is haviung in tat regards.
