The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikeduru LGA led by the Chairman, Hon Godson E. Chima and Mr.Uzoma Ebere PDP as Secretary, Ikeduru LGA , in a meeting held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at the LGA office headquarters, Iho attracted critical leaders, stakeholders, grassroot members, LGA and Ward party Exco from across the twelve (12) Wards in the local government area resolved as follows:
1. That, the leadership of the party in the LGA in unism passes an implicit vote of confidence on the party’s Apex leader in Imo state and National Secretary of PDP, Dist. Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy) for the good works he has been doing to unite our party.
2. That, in his efforts to ensure that PDP stands on its feet to be able to confront future elections in the state and beyond, all detractors working to divide the party by opposing his position as National Secretary should refrain from causing disunity and allow Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu to complete his legitimate tenure in office as the National Scribe of the party or wait for the supreme court ruling coming on the 10th March 2025.
3. That, without equivocation, a motion for an implicite vote of confidence moved by Chief Cosmos Ajaero (Aguiyi) and seconded by Hon Jeff Anufore resolve that Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu remains credible and eminently sagacious to discharge his duties as the authentic National Secretary of PDP.
4. That, the resolution was carried out unanimously by critical leaders, stakeholders grassroot members and in the presence of the zonal Vice chairman of Owerri zone, Hon. Geoffrey Ihentuge as well as other opinion leaders.
5. That, the leadership of our party in Ikeduru LGA will never tolerate any further act of brigandage, rancour, acrimony from anyone aimed at encouraging internal crisis or any promotion of destructive propaganda against our Apex leader, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu forthwith.
6. That, all party members in Ikeduru LGA are enjoined to remain supportive and dedicated to the ideals and programmes of our party, while rallying unalloyed support for our Apex leader, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu to be able to succeed in his onerous tasks as National Secretary of PDP”.
