The Imo State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu, on Tuesday,March 19,2025 joined His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma, CON, on a joint inspection tour of critical infrastructure projects currently under construction in Orlu.
The projects visited include the Orlu Township Road, the Regional Government House in Orlu, the Orlu-Urualla-Akokwa Road, and the Old Orlu/Owerri Road.
During the inspection, Governor Uzodinma reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the infrastructural development of Imo State. He emphasized the need for collaboration between citizens and contractors to ensure the seamless and timely completion of these projects within the contractual period.
Speaking to journalists, the Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu described the ongoing urban renewal initiative, alongside key projects such as the Orlu-Urualla-Akokwa Road, the Old Owerri/Orlu Road, and the Regional Government House in Eziachi Orlu, as a testament to the Governor’s “Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery” agenda. He noted that these projects will significantly boost economic growth and development in the region.
Joining the Governor on the inspection tour include; Chief of Staff Government House, Barr.Nnamdi Anyaehie, Chairman Imo Road Maintenance Agency (IROMA) Barr. Kingsley Onunuju, HRH Eze Douglas Okwara, Igwe of Umunna, HRH Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Chairman Imo Council of Elders, Executive Chairman Orlu LGA, Pastor Chris Mbarie and other appointees of the Government.
