–  Advocates Support For Uzodinma’s Programs, Policies

The Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt in Imo State, Dr Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu, has advised youths of Orlu community who paid him a courtesy visit in his office last week to be of good behavior and  partner with the state government in its crusade against drug abuse, which he said has become a major threat to the society.

The Commissioner who stated this when the youths of Orlu community visited him in his office to inform him of their forthcoming event which they said is aimed at sensitizing and re-orienting the youths on the need to be focused, self-reliant and also prioritize skill acquisition to ensure sustainable growth and development.

Speaking earlier, the Youth President Chijioke Odogwu, said they came to seek the support and partnership of the Commissioner and his ministry in respect of their forthcoming event. They also implored the commissioner to honour them with his esteemed presence when the time comes and also support them in any way he can to make the event  successful.

Responding, the Commissioner assured the youths of the state government’s preparedness to always support the youths in the actualization of worthwhile ventures pointing out that the Governor,  Senator Hope Uzodinma’s administration is youth friendly. “That was why he created the Ministry of Youth Development and Talent Hunt. He enjoined them to always support the state government’s programmes and policies to spur the governor to do more for the youths and Imo people at large.
