He also expressed gratitude to the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma for his “esteemed  support and rare opportunities given to me in different capacities. I will eternally be grateful to him  and support his administration to the end.

“Gentlemen of the press, I  stand before  you at this moment, after consultations with my family and close friends, to formally announce my resignation from partisan politics.

“This decision is predicated on my resolve to focus and concentrate more in building my private business enterprise and other humanitarian services, which require my total commitment and immense devotion, of which I cannot achieve with my active involvement and unhindered participation in partisan politics.

“My political involvement had centered mostly in human development and commitment  to sacrifices that have  sustainable impacts in the lives of people. Today,  I have decided to leverage on this vision  by committing more of my time and resources to creating opportunities  that will significantly impact and improve the lives of the less privileged in our society.

“However, I shall remain committed to supporting any course that shall promote good governance and the well-being of the people of Imo state.

“In view of this, I have decided to partner with The Mazi Organisation (TMO), an NGO that is deeply committed to humanitarian services and improving the welfare of people in our society”.
