Ahead of the forthcoming Onwa Oru cultural festival, an epoch making event that binds the six component communities in Uratta Ancient Kingdom together, the Chief Priest of Uratta Nation, otherwise called Onye Ishi Ala, Oha Peter Emeribe, of Umualum Uratta, invited the traditional rulers of all the communities alongside Ndi Oha Uratta to a meeting in his residence on January, 18, 2025 where the ceremonies that precede the Onwa Oru festival, (Itoda Ofo Ukwu Uratta) were kick-started in line with the age long cultural and traditional norms of the Uratta nation that is known to have  rich and unique cultural heritage.

At the meeting which was held at the residence of the Onye Ishi Ala, the latter affirmed that the communities have lost their Ofo Ukwu because of the desecrations in the different communities. Hence he, Onye Ishi Ala is currently  the only person in  possession of all the Ofo Ukwu Uratta.

He further stated that as a result of the desecrations by the Oha Supreme Council, in the different communities, all the Ofo Ukwu have returned to him.

He urged all the traditional rulers in Uratta to come in person and they in their wisdom attended the meeting with the properly,  duly constituted and recognized Ndi Oha Uratta, thereby giving the meeting which was a tremendous success the reverence and importance it deserves, as measures aimed at appeasing the entire Uratta land were articulated and deliberated on.

After in depth deliberations and extensive consultations, Onye Ishi Ala reaffirmed, having previously established that the Onwa Oru festival of arts and culture will take place on Tuesday, February, 11, 2025 amidst fun fare.
