Nneka Igwe Onwudiwe, Treasurer of the Labour Party in Imo State has resigned her membership of the party.
Onwudiwe, who was said to be a prominent and committed member of the party communicated her resignation in a letter dated January, 8, 2025 which she addressed to the Chairman of Labour Party in Amuzi Ward, Obowo Local Government Area and also copied the State Chairman of the party.
The letter captioned, “RESIGNATION FROM LABOUR PARTY (LP)”, reads, “I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally tender my resignation as a member of the Labour Party effective immediately.
I have been proud to serve the Labour party, but it is with great gratitude that I am submitting my resignation letter after careful consideration. I have decided to leave the party due to personal reasons.
Please accept my gratitude for the support I experienced during my time with the Labour Party (LP). I wish the party continued success in its endeavors.
Thank you for your understanding. Kindly acknowledge receipt of this letter”.
