… As Victim Cries Out To  Government For  Assistance

Okwuele Area A Neighbourhood by First Bus Stop Irete Owerri West LGA Imo State, Tuesday, woke up in tears and anguish as a Tailor shop was gulped by fire which the actual cause has not been ascertained as the time of filling this story. The victim is 32 year old Mr. Uchenna Ochia from Ogwuma in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. 

Our reporter who visited the scene informed that industrial machines that got burnt were four(4) Manual Machine (2) I ceiling fan, 1 Pressing Iron, Images for sampling of cloths (2), 38000 Firman Generator (1) and various kinds of fabrics belonging to his customers. 

The victim, Mr. Uchenna Ochia, who was devastated, he said that the incident is very unfortunate and that he was more pained over the various fabrics  belonging to his customers. 

” It’s unfortunate that I am experiencing this kind of set back by this time of the year. I am in pains and more worried that I lost materials or cloths of my customers in this fire incident. 

“I am appealing to the Imo State Government led by His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma and other kind spirited individuals to come to my rescue as I am the breadwinner of my family and the first son, having lost over Five Million Naira (N5m) worth of equipment and materials in the incident”.

While on the spot accessment at the scene of the incident, the Acting Chairman of the Neighbourhood, Don Uba, ksp (Ikemba) expressed shock over the incident and promised to try his best possible to assist the victim by seeking the assistance of the Neighbourhood. 

“We will set up a committee to unravel the remote causes of the fire incident to avoid a repeat next time. It is as if the victim was targeted for this fire attack. 

“Uchenna was the only one involved in this incident and it looks suspicious. 

“May be those boys that were contracted ny Ebere Emmanuel Amadi as night guards that roam the neighbourhood without proper identification may inform us what actually happened. Certainly, we won’t let this slide to avoid a reoccurrance”, Don Uba, stated, adding, he would mobilize the entire Neighbourhood, Government and the public to assist him I’m this time of grief.
