It has been revealed how an Anglican Priest,Rev’d Engr. Godson Nlemchukwu Engr Nlechukwu, who is alleged to be the former governor’s proxy, concealed information about pendency of a matter at the Industral Court and claimed that he had full title of NUJ property before the High Court, Owerri leading to securing a favourable judgement in a property which only yesterday set aside.
Gordon, as popularly called, had gone to a court an Mbaitoli, which is outside jurisdiction, to institute a case against NUJ seeking the Court to grant him unhindered access to the Imo NUJ secretariat,located along Port Harcourt Road.
He served those who were not journalists and failed to serve occupants of the Secretariat. The Court looking at facts before her grant Enedo the relief, unknown to the Judge that those who claimed to have sold the Complex to Enedo were not Journalists.
Nlechukwu, who claims to be a Priest of the Anglican Church, is said to have perfected an arrangement to convert the Imo NUJ secretariat to a hotel.
He had severally invaded the place with Thugs with the sole purpose of demolishing the building and taking possession, but each time he came with his thugs, NUJ members resisted him.
