-Emerges Deputy Scribe Of Imo FIDA
The National Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ) Comrade Aisha Ibrahim BuraI has appointed Barr Vivian Otti who doubles as Imo state Chairperson of the NAWOJ as Special Adviser(SSA) on special duty.
In a letter signed by the National Secretary of NAWOJ,Comrade Wasilah Ladan described Otti as very reliable and highly resourceful person.
The letter reads in part,” I have been directed by the National Chairperson Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Aisha Ibrahim Bura to convey to you Comrade Ottih Vivian Ogechi your appointment as Senior Special Adviser (SSA) On Special Duties/Projects to NAWOJ National Chairperson.
“Your appointment is based on your commitment and loyalty to the Association. It is therefore, expected of you to discharge your duties with all vigour and efficiency to the expectation of this administration, and this is by contributing your quota to theu overall progress of NAWOJ and the society at large.
“Please, accept the congratulations and warmest regards of the National Chairperson NAWOJ”.
Similary,Barr Vivian Otti, a seasoned journalist, human rights activist over the weekend also emerged as the Assistant Secretary of the International Federation of Female Lawyers (FIDA) in Imo State,defeating an incumbent .
Otti, who was the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Advanced Democratic Party (ADP) in the 2023 election defeated her opponent, Mrs Oby Onyeulor in a keenly contested election.
Omenukwa Chinyere, Princess Ngozi Anyanwu, Dr. Onyeanwuna Chikaodi and Amarachi Ike did not have opponents to beat, as the quartet became the Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Publicity Secretary and Welfare Officer, respectively, of the association.
Their election is seen as a significant achievement, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing women’s rights and legal advocacy in the State.
This leadership change is expected to enhance FIDA’s initiatives and impact in Imo State, promoting gender equality and legal support for women in the State.
