-As Nwachukwu Inaugurates Electoral Committee
The Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities,JONAPWD Imo State chapter has slated January, 2025 for its election.
The Association led by Hon. Dr. Stanley Chinedu Nwachukwu on Friday 8th November,2024 set up an Electoral Committee that will conduct election which will usher in new crop of Imo State Executive Officers of the Persons With Disabilities,PWD early next year.
Speaking while inaugurating the committee headed by Mr Kenneth Ugoenyi,Dr. Nwachukwu who doubles as the Special Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC South/East chapter charged them to be transparent and impartial in all their plans and preparations for the election, carry all members along and deliver free, fair and credible election.
“Today is set aside for our disability state congress, we just had a successful congress. Being that my tenure is coming to an end on January, we have constituted a nine man Electoral Committee to conduct fresh election in January,2025”,he stated.
He described members of the Committee as people whose credibility have been tested and proven overtime, expressing optimism that they will conduct an election that will see to the emergence of chairman and executive members with capacity.
Fielding questions from newsmen after being inaugurated as chairman of the electoral committee, Mr Ugoenyi Kenneth promised, on behalf of his team, to deliver a credible, free fair and transparent election.
