Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA) the apex socio-cultural umbrella body of youths in Orlu zone, has commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma and the Vice Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University KOMU, Ideato, Prof INS Dozie for facilitating the accreditation of Law, Medicine, Nursing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and other programmes in the institution.

OYA, said, it has taken note of the activities and antecedents of Prof Dozie and concluded that he is passionately committed to making KOMU one of the best tertiary institutions in Nigeria and Africa.

This was contained in a release signed by the National President of the group, Comrade Thaddeus Emejuru and made available to newsmen.

Emejuru noted that facilitating accreditation for the courses will avail youths of the state more opportunities to study core professional courses that will enhance their future and give them more value in the labour market.

He also commended the Governor for his assistance to the institution and the provision of enabling environment that culminated in the accreditation of the aforementioned courses and others before them, which according to him, has given KOMU an edge over others schools despite the short period its existence.

Comrade Emejuru further said, “I want to also use this opportunity to commend the management of the institution ably led by Prof Dozie and the Governor of Imo State Senator Hope Uzodinma for their efforts in ensuring peace, harmony and mutual co-existence between the students, management and their host communities.

 We have not had news of cult-related issues, or quarrels with the host communities unlike what is obtainable in other schools. This, we know, can only be achieved through deliberate efforts, management, administrative and leadership prowess in addition to conflict management expertise by those at the helm of affairs.

On this note, we urge the Vice Chancellor and his team to continue the good work”.
