– As Union Accuses Okorocha’s Proxy Of Buying Time
The controversial matter between the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Imo State Council and Anedo General Services that is alleged to be a proxy through which the former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha plotted to buy off the Imo NUJ secretariat before the ill-motivated plan that would have been inimical to the interest of the union was truncated by Imo journalists who sought legal redress. The matter that has lingered for so long will come up today at the Owerri High Court.
Recall, that Imo NUJ went to court to seek redress in a bid to truncate the alleged fraudulent plot by some disgruntled criminal minded elements to sell the secretariat to former Governor Rochas Okorocha Proxy without the consent and approval of journalists in the state.
The Chairman of Imo NUJ, Comrade Precious Nwadike, while addressing newsmen recently, said, it is regrettable that the case has lingered up till date.
He accused former Governor Rochas Okorocha’s proxy, Anedo General services of frustrating the proceedings through delay tactics.
